Take Two - Table Grape Set - seedless
Our new table grape set consisting of one vine each of Suffolk red ( pink, seedless) and Selma ( yellow, seedless). Both table grapes are two very good and proven varieties.
1 Table grape - Suffolk red - seedless
Suffolk red is considered to be the first, pink, fungus-resistant, seedless grape variety and originates from the USA. Its loose-berried grapes are large. The berry skin is thin-skinned, with medium sized, round, slightly fragrant berries. Suffolk red is an excellent table grape with excellent taste.
This vigorous variety has a strong growth habit and thrives well even in less favorable locations. The vine has good frost hardiness and good fungal resistance.
The fully ripe early grapes can be harvested from the beginning of September, depending on sunshine and location. In somewhat sheltered locations or on the house wall, this variety produces a good and safe yield.
2 Table grape - Selma - seedless
The French new variety Selma is absolutely seedless. The grape variety bears large, long, loose-berried grapes with crunchy, medium-sized, fine-skinned berries. The berry is yellow-green and elongated-oval in shape. The taste is pleasantly sweet with a light muscat tone and a pleasant fruit acidity.
This very good vine is a rarity and certainly an excellent addition to your seedless table grape assortment!
Selma has a beautiful strong, upright growth, is robust, has a good frost resistance and good fungus resistance.
The ripening time of this variety is early. Depending on sunshine and location, the ripe grapes can be harvested as early as the beginning of September.
Both vines have an annual graft and are delivered in a 10 cm pot. The plants already have a height of approx. 80 cm when delivered.
The table grapes can be planted in normal garden soil. They prefer a sunny location. As with all climbing plants, a suitable climbing frame or trellis is ideal for the vines.
Avoid water logging if possible!
